Performance Coaching

The most successful performing artists,
athletes and business leaders
have all developed partnerships
with coaches or mentors over the years.

  • Want to improve your performance to get better results in your field?
  • Want more confidence when you present yourself or your information?
  • Want to check how your body language, voice tone etc is affecting others?
  • Being interviewed for a position in the near future?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, Performance Coaching can help you. For your ease we have spit this into two categories.

The first is for non-actors who wish to improve their performance skills.

The second is for actors or aspiring actors.

Performance Coaching for Non-Actors

The 'performance skills' of self-awareness and self-discipline, while remaining open spontaneous and creative, increase our potential in every aspect of our lives. In our occupation, in the expression of our life purpose, in recreation, in our personal relationships and while parenting - we are always 'performing.'

Most occupations require us to present ourselves confidently, express ourselves clearly and be aware of how we affect others. Whether we are employees, self-employed or business leaders, from sales staff to executives delivering speeches, we will be more effective after Performance Coaching.

Once your strengths and challenges are identified you are helped to develop the skills you need to improve your performance.

Performance coaching will look at
how you present yourself,
and how you communicate through
your voice, tone, language
and body movements.

If you need to develop the confidence to give presentations... If you want to improve your relationships with others... If you feel you are doing everything to get the best from others, but are not getting the intended results....

try Performance Coaching.

Actors' Coaching

Kate Kalin coaches actors who wish to audition for acting parts, or drama/acting courses.

Kate has worked with performing artists since 1995 in New Zealand and Ireland. She is a trained actress herself and has an MA(Hons) in Drama and Theatre Studies.

Whilst in Ireland Kate has provided drama programmes for community groups, schools, theatre groups, individual actors and teachers. In N.Z. she worked for a full time Performing Arts School for nine years where she directed shows and trained actors in movement, voice, mime, improvisation, clown, characterisation, classical and contemporary theatre, devising, street theatre and acting for camera.

Kate also uses drama for personal development, knowing that alongside talent and training, professional actors also need the following skills to be successful and maintain themselves in the acting industry.

  • Audition skills
  • Coping with Grief, Loss and Change
  • Whole Brain Learning
  • Stress Management
  • Anger Management
  • Giving and Receiving Criticism
  • Time Management
  • Budgeting
  • Assertiveness training
  • Communication skills
  • Listening skills

Kate knows that being an actor can be a challenging road. She offers actor's coaching at very reasonable rates.
