KINESIOLOGY AND COACHING

Kate's M.A. was based on her innovative practical research. She conducted experimental workshops, and used qualitative and quantitative feedback, along with her own observations to measure Kinesiology's effectiveness for increasing conscious awareness and creative potential. Kinesiology enables greater and deeper access to creative and spontaneous responses through balancing, de-stressing and engaging all aspects of the brain and body (including the sub-conscious). Kinesiology uses some techniques that are similar to NLP, but prioritises body movements as its primary way of accessing internal motivation, balance and the ability to dissolve blocks to learning or change. It can also be used to replace sabotaging patterns of belief, thought and behaviour with more helpful, conscious responses. Kate uses Kinesiology for any challenges associated with change or development e.g. to diffuse anxiety and fears commonly associated with all types of performance in life. In her practical research Kate found Kinesiology effective for dissolving barriers between individuals. This helps create strong, co-operative and effective teams.

DRAMATICALLY DIFFERENT COACHING....

Kate Kalin has worked with performing artists since 1995. For nine years she worked for a Performing Arts School where she directed shows and trained actors in movement, mime, improvisation, clown, characterisation, stage craft and acting for camera. Alongside these traditional acting skills Kate also used drama for delivering the following:

Personal Development Workshops

  • Coping with Grief Loss and Change
  • Stress Management
  • Anger Management
  • Giving and Receiving Criticism
  • Time Management
  • Budgeting
  • Assertiveness training
  • Communication skills
  • Listening skills
  • Body Language
  • Whole Brain Learning

Kate brings a fresh and fun approach to facilitating groups by using drama exercises (if appropriate) to develop skills in the areas of conflict resolution, communications, confidence building and assertiveness training. Behaviour is anchored through practicing desired or new behaviours. This builds participants' confidence in the ability to use new skills. It offers the opportunity to resolve any difficulties during practice, prior to applying it in the real world.
